After being repeatedly turned down by credit card lenders over the last two years, they now have a chance of getting their application approved. The year 2011 is all set to work in their favor. Credit card lenders are now willing to loosen their belts and offer credit card to people with a bad credit history too. This is sure to be a blessing to people who saw their credit scores drop, thanks to unemployment, charge offs and foreclosures. While the lenders are willing to accommodate people with poor scores, it comes with a price. The fees and the interest rates on credit cards for people with bad credit history are pretty high. Hence, it is imperative for applicants to compare and analyze the various credit cards available in the market today before making their choices. Jumping guns and choosing credit cards without a lot of forethought can only land people in a bad mess. The types of card being offered to applicants depend on the status of their credit history. If they have had a couple of defaults on their cards or loans, the cost of the card is not going to blow the roof off. However, if applicants have really poor scores and are looking for credit cards to fix their credit report, they should be willing to pay high fees and use the card judiciously to avoid getting into further debts.
