American express cards used liberally during vacations

Over 59% of the people in the United States plan to travel to various destinations this summer. This number is up from last year where only 51% of the Americans traveled during summer. This is as per the spending and saving tracker maintained by American Express regularly. With the customers using their credit cards without restraint in recent time, the travel industry has seen a significant upheaval. Though a lot of Americans are willing to take up travel expeditions, they are still being careful about what they spend from their pocket.

The introduction of the new rules of the CARD Act brought about a significant change in the financial industry. While there were innumerable banks all over the country that experienced changes and felt steep losses, American Express did not undergo any significant change. The line of credit cards from this banking major have not faced any major changes in terms and conditions and hence continue to remain a favorite of many people around the country.

Most of the customers traveling overseas prefer opting for charge cards instead of credit cards or cash. This also seems to be a better alternative as compared to travelers` checks. American Express has three distinct charge cards each with its own set of features and benefits. Irrespective of whether they have a Platinum, Green or Gold card, consumers continue to use it without any fear or apprehension. These cards do not carry a predefined limit and also offers a lot of perks, both of which works in the favor of consumers.
