Citibank Credit Card Deal for Customers Strapped for Cash

2008-01-22

Citibank Credit Card Deal

According to the results of most of the polls conducted among credit card holders, most strapped-for-rewards customers pointed out cash back as the most desirable perk they would want to see among their credit card's features. Why cash when there is such a plentiful number of various credit card rewards designed for different purposes and all consumer types?

Well, cash is universal and, unlike miles for example, are more flexible in use. Americans have always valued hard cash and though it has been replaced by plastics, it will never lose its firmly fixed position. That's why credit cards with cash back are singled out from all other rewards plastics. If you are one of those smart customers who like earning cash on each of their credit card transaction, then a new offer from Citibank is waiting for you.

Credit card holders are becoming more and more sophisticated and exacting when it comes to making a deal with an issuer. Basic features, such as fees, rates and other credit card charges are not the only factors already that can influence a customer's applying decision.

Credit card rewards, like those that give you a free airline ticket, a night at a hotel or a car rental can resolve all doubts about the efficiency and profitability of the deal. But there are customers and they are in great numbers, who would prefer to get part of the spent money back and use it at their own wish.

Such customers don't like being tied to a certain merchant to earn rewards with and they do not like the hassle of redeeming them for merchandise or services. So, they opt for a direct and simple way of being rewarded for the credit card use. It is cash back.

Cash back credit cards are available today with most big issuers in the USA. However, in spite of their extreme popularity, many of them are not perfect in point of certain terms and limitations. Unlike such offers, Citi CashReturns Card seems to be an ideal deal.

This credit card offer from Citibank has optimized the ways of earning cash and implementing the redemption. No you do not have to ask your creditor to transfer the amount earned to your account or send you a check. All is done automatically. As soon as you have collected $50 in cash, the company will send you the check without your requesting it.

All you have to do is to use your Citi CashReturns Card for your everyday purchases, and the payoff won't keep you waiting long! Why try to collect free miles being tied to a certain airline when you can save enough money for a ticket with a cash back card from Citibank?

Certainly, all this doesn't mean that you should give up all your current credit cards and switch onto this Citibank offer. Citi CashReturns Card has been recognized a perfect addition to student and business credit cards, which means you can earn cash without loosing rewards designed for your special needs.

With no spending requirements, no cash back limits and no expiration, this credit card will satisfy the most demanding credit consumers looking to make the most of each transaction. No matter which way you choose to pay, whether in-store or online through PayPass technology, you are invariably eligible for cash back bonus - unlimited and automatic.

Like any other businesses, credit card companies have their sources of revenues, i.e. interests, and fees. According to Wall Street Journal, credit companies' revenues from fees increased by 41% over the last four years. Now, it is $18.1 billion compared with $17.2 billion last year. Since 2003, there's a 41% increase in fee revenues. Meaning, for banks and companies, credit card fees provide a steady growth of income. Today, fees account for approximately 40% of the total revenue for card issuers. Now, customers notice not only increases in credit fees but also the appearance of some new fees for things that never had them before.

If you happen to be a good cardholder, most obviously your mailbox is full of mailings from card companies. Oddly enough, the majority of those people with good and excellent credit score are not so much interested in these credit offers, as they can easily make great credit card deals online rather than responding to these mailings. If you are sick and tired of a thick bunch of pre-approved credit card offers, you have all the chances to stop these mailings. Read on and you will learn how you can stop receiving annoying mailings from credit card companies and banks.

In general, most US cardholders are aware of identity theft dangers. The peculiarity of this crime is that you can hardly notice that you've become a victim. But still there are some safety measures that can be used, like fraud alerts for instance. Sometimes, people can meet face to face with something they cannot explain. If your credit cards are in your wallet, and your personal information is not stolen, but there are some credit transactions you didn't make, the evidence is great that you have become a victim of credit card shaving. Learn more about this crime and what can be done about it!

When choosing the card, you choose the issuer. However, most people do not care much about this point, especially when the card screams about zero interest rates and exclusive rewards. Now that every cardholder can submit credit card applications right from home, people may know little about the issuer of the card they have chosen. By all means, most card companies provide credit customer service for their clients, but there are few card companies that really value their customers and keep on launching new programs and services that enable customers to manage their financial issues and life.
