Like it or not, we must observe certain credit card rules. Check your credit card statements, pay off the balance every month, and so on and so forth. Unfortunately, credit card companies are interested only in your money and your valid excuses are of no use for them. If you are short of money, the advice of paying off your balance in full will sound ridiculous. In this situation, you'd better think about time, as late payments can cause the troubles you've never thought of.

American cardholders make no secret of the fact that their wallets are full of plastics. Owing five or seven credit cards is quite common. More and more customers make rewards credit card deals in order to save some money on their purchases, and we happen to game our rewards plastics in order to make the most of our rewards.
Meantime, credit card issuers do their best to offer credit cards with unbelievably low rates, so that these cards look extremely enticing to the customer. More than that, credit issuers want us to use this or that credit card as a primary plastic. Now, there's a new trend in credit card industry. Credit card issuers try new ways to build consumer loyalty. So, what are they?

In the light of the recent Senate hearings on credit card rates, it looks like credit issuers are on the way of changing credit card rules and regulations in favor of customers. For years, credit card providers have conducted their policies to cardholders. Present days, the situation has taken another turn. Increasingly, lenders start to waive some confusing credit practices that led so many people to various financial difficulties. However, we must accept the fact that lenders have done this under the pressure of discontented users and lawmakers.

Christmas is coming and it's high time to think about Christmas tree, decorations, gifts, and entertainment. Let us be honest, it's so tough to resist the temptation of buying some fancy house ornaments or a nice holly berry decorative wreath. Year-end holidays give a chance to pamper our dear ones with the best wished-for gifts. The question is, how will this influence our family budget?
It's not news that most U.S. customers prefer using plastic while making purchases. That's quite easy to charge on credit cards, and equally hard to pay off the balance. In credit spending, planning is the name of the game. That's why Chase has created a new Holiday Spending Planner, an outstanding credit service that will be so helpful for customers this Christmas.

I am on permanent disability and I owe on a credit card. Are they supposed to be charging me interest on it even now the card is inactive or are they supposed to just be charging on what I owe?
Thank you for your help

Answer:

If you carry a balance on your card, the issuer will keep on charging you interest until you pay off the entire balance in full. Even if you don't use your card, you're supposed to pay down your account balance.

If you find it difficult to make the minimum payment on your card, you may call up your creditor and explain the situation. You should negotiate this problem with your lender. You may ask to lower your interest rate for a certain period of time, so that you will be able to pay down your balance. This way or another, you need to repay this debt.
