Credit Card Deals with Best Rewards Programs

2008-09-09

Plastics with rewards are extremely popular these days. According to the recent customer satisfaction study, people carrying rewards cards are more satisfied with the services and programs provided by lenders in comparison with those folks who carry non-rewards plastics.

With a great variety of rewards credit offers in the market, it may be pretty difficult to make the right choice. They all look so great by offering incredible rebates per dollar spent. 0% promotional rates, no annual fee, generous rebates on eligible purchases - it's all well and good, but together with freebies and incentives, you may get restrictions and limitations that may result in little benefit from the card you have chosen. Learn what things to look for and to look out for when choosing the best rewards plastic!

Like any other credit card, a rewards plastic has certain terms and features you should be aware of before submitting your online application. Although the offer may seem absolutely irresistible, you need to carefully examine its terms and conditions. What about interest rates and fees? Are they low, moderate, or somewhat high? You'd better weigh all pros and cons beforehand so that you will not be disappointed afterwards.

To earn something for nothing sounds really great - you can use your new plastic with rewards like a regular one. Not only rewards credit deals provide a chance to enjoy the convenience of use, they also give an opportunity to get more benefits when doing your regular shopping.

The key is to select the card that suits your financial needs best. Like traveling? Consider plastics with travel rewards! Enjoy shopping? Cash back deals will be a smart choice. Want to save on gas? Feel free to do so with gas rebate cards. All the more so, you can find deals specially designed for certain categories of consumers, including pet-lovers, golf-players, and others.

Not all rewards programs are created equal. Before applying for this or that card, learn how many credit rewards you will get per dollar spent, how many points you should accumulate to redeem them for something valuable. These details may vary from company to company, so it makes sense to carefully read the fine print and do some math to estimate your possible benefits.

As you obtain that very plastic you've been looking for, don't forget about the opportunities it gives you, i.e. use the card as often as possible. In view of the fact that most US customers carry several plastics, it may be a headache to select the right one when standing in front of a checkout counter. Little post it notes on the back of your card will you help you figure out which card in your wallet gives maximum rebates on the purchases you make.

Being careful with your new rewards plastic, you have all the chances to reap great benefits, especially when using this card for a multitude of purchases. But don't forget to pay attention to expiration dates and other restrictions. For this, read the fine print to clear up this problem.
